At Silverado our passion is jewellery. Every designer we work with is chosen for both their design aesthetic and the quality or their work.
We are constantly on the look out for outstanding up and coming jewellery designers as well as beautiful designs from more established names.
Winner of the jewellery designer of the year 2008, Alex Monroe creates beautiful intricate sterling silver and 22ct gold plated pieces all within the theme of nature. He mixes classic beauty with modern, playful design that everyone falls in love with. Favourite collections include 'The Birds and the Woodbees', 'Enchanted', and 'The Peacock and the Crow'.
Local Lewes based designer Alexis Dove creates lovely feminine jewellery in silver, gold and gold-plate. Her most popular designs are in her wild rose collection in which stylish simplicity meets perfect attention to detail, with little touches like semi-precious stones at the back of every chain and tiny stamen clusters inside every hand crafted flower.
Azuni
are a London-based design company who specialise in sterling silver, gold plated brass and semi-precious stones. They create a distinct style through their use of brightly coloured stones and charm clusters on chains and bracelets. With every stone naturally different, Azuni pride themselves on offering everyone a unique creation, in a style that fuses tribal culture and modern craft. Their goal is to create highly wearable jewellery embodied with individuality and meaning.
Becca Hulbert started designing and making jewellery in
2000. Her style is traditional with a contemporary twist, with vintage motifs
complimented with unique modern touches. Working in silver and 9ct gold, Becca
prides herself in producing hand-made pieces that are dainty, nostalgic, quirky
and charming in every sense of the word.
Catherine Weitzman makes stunning jewellery inspired by her
Hawaiian environment, resulting in intricate sea-life themed treasures that can
instantly transport the wearer to a tropical paradise. With silver and gold
vermeil, along with vibrant precious and semi-precious gemstones, much of her
work is cast directly from natural objects such as shells, leaves and flowers.
Collette Waudby
Collette’s work concerns itself with the contrasting
relationship with the straight and the curve, and their connection to the body,
with each piece aiming to express elements of symmetry, space and balance. Working in sterling silver and 9ct
gold, gorgeous leaf shapes and textured butterflies are key themes in
Collette’s contemporary jewellery.
Dinny Hall’s jewellery is known for its classic yet modern
simplicity, which has been the key to its worldwide success. Her design aesthetic appeals to all ages and personalities, admired by everyone for its
recognisable themes and timeless elegance.
Founded in 1991 by designer Marcia Maizel-Clarke, Dogeared
was based on the desire to create beautiful jewellery that makes a hopeful and
happy statement. Their unique style is inspired by the natural beauty and hip
lifestyle of California, with every piece Earth friendly and handmade in the
USA. With Dogeared jewellery you are not only buying a gorgeous piece of
jewellery, you are also buying an inspirational message written on a display
card- the perfect pick-me-up for yourself or a loved one!
Dressing Table
The Sussex-based Dressing Table takes influence from vintage
treasures to create hand-finished designs in brass and gold-plate. The new
cabochon necklace collection uses an eclectic mix of fabrics, vintage stamps
and typeface, including adorable bunnies, owls, bicycles and birds.
Feniom is a Belgian jewellery design company specialising in titanium, an increasingly popular material for jewellery due to its durability, adaptability and comfort. Feniom are known for their innovative colouring methods, unique combinations of precious metals, and experiments with other materials such as pearl, diamonds and rubber. Though Feniom do make other jewellery, we chiefly stock a large selection of their rings, which are suitable for both men and women, and are increasingly chosen as an alternative to traditional gold or platinum wedding bands.
Kit Heath make classic sterling silver jewellery with delicate attention to detail, with collections including themes of love, commitment and the beauty of nature. Perfect gifts, right for the occasion, in tune with the times. Their ethos is that beautiful jewellery should be accessible to all, not just the privileged few.
Kutuu, meaning ‘butterfly’, believe that jewellery is a
reminder of your journey and a way of capturing your precious memories. They
use handcrafted sterling silver to create beautiful pieces with sentimental
messages, whether you want to say ‘I love you’, ‘thank you’ or ‘live, love,
laugh’.
The signature Laura Lee look is layering of pieces and the
eclectic mix of motifs, metals and themes. There is a strong emphasis on
personalisation, with the gorgeous engraved initial collection and the range of
stunning antique coin pendants. Laura’s love of jewellery came from her
obsession with her mother’s elaborate charm bracelet which fed her imagination
and creativity.
Monica Vinader’s jewellery is always unexpected, always unique and always a touch extravagant. Her pieces tell the story of the life she has lived collecting curiosities and tales the world over. Her most recognisable designs are her amazing cocktail rings in sterling silver, gold vermeil and 18ct gold. Monica creates wearable, everyday luxury that completes any outfit. Her pieces are made in a variety of semi-precious stones, but favourites include onyx, labradorite and amethyst.
Brighton-based costume jewellery designers make aspirational, eclectic, yet affordable jewellery. Every season brings new and exciting designs, influenced by a love of shopping and travel. Perfect for a cheeky treat to yourself, and brilliant as presents for your loved-ones.
Otis Jaxon makes wearable, chunky sterling silver jewellery with a twist. Their jewellery is inspired by the geometry of nature and the aesthetics of the multi-ethnic world in which we live. Due to the contemporary simplicity of their designs, an Otis Jaxon piece is just as suited to a ball gown on a night at the opera as it is to jeans and a jumper on a trip to the pub.
Australian brand Polli was started by Maja Rose and Tess Lloyd, the concept born from their strong interests in sustainable design, craft culture and fashion. Each piece is etched from thin sheets of stainless steel to create intricate patterns. The designs are both bold and unique and pieces are light and comfortable to wear. All earrings and necklaces use sterling silver and gold filled findings so they are all nickel free and hypoallergenic.
The unique style of Robindira Unsworth comes from the fusion
of a Northern Californian aesthetic with cultures of the Middle East and Asia.
Inspiration is drawn from nature and the human spirit as well as exotic
travels. Each handcrafted element in their collection is though of as a
precious gift with purpose- to adorn and inspire the wearer to feel their best
and live well.
Silver Service was established in 2006 by Tilly Sveaas. They specialize in unique silver charms and pendants with a punky feel. This continues throughout the new carved bone collection of charms including skulls, horn, cherubs and birds. She also has a nautical range with cute anchors and tiny shells, which look great clustered on chains or as additions to charm bracelets. With charms becoming the must-have item of the moment, a Silver Service charm makes the perfect present for yourself or your loved-ones.
Tales from the Earth was born from a serendipitous encounter between Jo Culf and John DeCosta, who met in Edinburgh whilst travelling the world. Travel remains a key influence on their ethos and design, creating silver jewellery, keepsakes and charms that tell stories like those encountered on their voyages.
Launched in 2006, Zoe & Morgan were an instant hit. This team of designer siblings create luxury silver and gold plated jewellery with a rock'n'roll edge. Their current 'Unusual Suspects' collection mixes deco-modernism, 70s moonbird, micro skulls and the new geometrics, with every theme featuring their signature styling- that rock'n'roll edge, fine detailing and trendless, eye-catching lines. Celebrity fans include Alexa Chung, Kate Moss and Emma Watson to name but a few.
